About the Author: Betty Zacharias is a friend of Adagio Travel who graciously offered to share her story about her family’s custom tour to Tuscany, Italy in June 2019.

We are a family of ten: five adults and five teenagers. Our ages range from 12 to 70. This was a birthday celebration, and we needed precise planning for such a large group. Adagio did not disappoint!

Party of Ten!

They searched and found our Tuscan Villa, Podere Erica. It became a comfortable home for all ten of us and had numerous amenities to accommodate our family. We hiked, swam, played bocce, ping pong, and chess, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

Our arrival charcuterie lunch at Badia a Passignano was over the top with both food and scenery. This set the mood for the whole trip.

Family Adventures

Adagio also planned our day trips to Siena and Florence. Our drivers were very prompt and pleasant. Chef Babs came two nights to prepare awesome Italian meals with wine pairings. We did wine tastings with Marco on the property accompanied by a fun night of pizza making.

One highlight was our E-biking (electric bicycling) through Tuscany followed by lunch at a local trattoria. E-Biking allowed us to view breathtaking sights.

I cannot say enough about Claudia at Adagio Travel. She is very detail-oriented, and all events and transportation went off in a very timely manner.

Adagio For Families

I could not have begun to plan this memorable trip without her. While this was a wonderful celebratory trip, it also provided much needed togetherness time for the five cousins living across two different states.

I would highly recommend and would travel with Adagio again.
